FIK relies on the creative individuals of the Ústí art scene closely connected with the Hraničář Public Hall and the Faculty of Art and Design of the UJEP in Ústí nad Labem. The collective of creators of the festival develops long-term German partnerships (students from the University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany, creators of The Millionaires Club festival in Leipzig, Germany) and local art collectives.

The Hraničář Public Hall is a unique space in the Ústí context that combines contemporary art, film, theater, music, lectures, workshops and other cultural genres with public life in the city.
Our vision is to turn the former building of the Hraničář cinema into a stable public cultural institution of international importance with a professional background that is independent of changes in the political environment.
