TUIG Festival 2026: PROTEST
On May 23 and 24, 2026, following our annual tradition, we are once again packing the Blikfabriek to the rafters with local graphic and illustrative talent. Get ready for cool exhibitions, the craziest animations, screen printing, tattoos, stickers, prints, textiles, figure drawing, and the massive TUIG market.
TUIG loves to experiment, and this year we are focusing on the theme: “PROTEST”. Experience a weekend full of discovery and connection, and feel free to stick around for a snack and a drink at this inspiring location.

WHAT’S ON THE PROGRAM?
The TUIG Market (Big & Cozy) At the largest local illustrative and graphic TUIG market, you can snag prints, books, zines, stickers, and original illustrations. On Saturday, you’ll find over 50 unique vendors, followed by 50 different talents to discover on Sunday. Our tattoo artists will also be present on both days if you’re looking to give your body an illustrative makeover.
XL Flags Exhibition Admire ten giant XL flags decorating the market. Ten local talents share their unique vision of the “protest” theme.
The Animation Parliament Dive into the cinema room for a surprising series of animations full of experimentation, character design, and dreamscapes. Please note: some films may not be suitable for younger viewers.
Zine Library & Spotlight Exhibition Relax in our unique zine library or discover the exhibition featuring three brand-new zines centered around the theme of protest.
Protest Sign Exhibition Be surprised by the illustrative protest signs created during our “Protest Sign” Drink & Draw sessions.
Bring Your Own T-shirt Bring your own textiles (preferably a T-shirt) and have it screen-printed for free by our printer.
The Mini Sticker Expo “Stick it to the man!” Contribute to the exhibition by filling an empty spot with your own self-designed sticker.
Atelier Plantin-Moretus On Saturday, discover the workshop of the Museum Plantin-Moretus. Learn to play with graphic printing techniques in their mobile printing studio.
Costume Figure Drawing On Sunday, join us for costume figure drawing. Feel free to pull up a chair and sketch our model in a unique outfit.
