KLIN: comics and illustration festival

An independent one day fest focusing on diy comics, illustration, zines, posters and graphics; including comic book fair, meetings with authors, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, video art screening and more. KLIN takes place in a unique modernist ZETO building from the early 1960s.
The theme of the fourth edition is ‘SEWING MEMORY’ – a concept directly linked to the creation of permanent memory for early computers, whilst also bringing together the themes of weaving and remembrance within both technological and human contexts.
This grassroots, non-commercial initiative arose from a love of visual storytelling, drawing, zines, collage, printmaking, and all forms of analog expression, as well as from the need to support and promote those who engage in them. KLIN is a space for meetings and mutual exchange between creators and the public. KLIN doesn’t shy away from questions about the reality around us. It looks at it critically, creatively, and collectively—through comics, zines, drawings, paintings, and forms outside the mainstream.
