Welcome to SĀBRS — Riga’s annual celebration of zines, indie publishing, and creative connection! Named after the Latvian word for “neighbor,” Sābrs is all about bringing people together to share stories, art, and ideas through self-published works. This year marks the festival’s 5th anniversary, with participants from Latvia and over ten countries, including Croatia, Spain, South Korea, and the USA. Whether you’re a curious newbie or a zine enthusiast, this free festival invites everyone to dive into a world of self-publishing.

The main event is a market held on July 4–5, 2026, on the second floor of Āgenskalns Market, where visitors can browse and buy publications directly from their creators. The festival also features workshops, exhibitions, and other events in nearby spaces.
