Tartu Illustration Festival

Tartu Illustration Festival (or shortly, TIF) is the first ever illustration festival in Estonia that started off in September 2024. Taking place in Aparaaditehas, a former factory building that has now been built into a creative centre, the one-day festival brings together illustrators, graphic designers, printmakers and visual artists. TIF celebrates illustration in all kinds of forms – on prints and posters, on textiles and homeware, in street art and graphic design, and each year will have its own topic and theme. Due to the Estonian Book Year, the upcoming festival in year 2025 focuses on book illustrations, book design and book art. Throughout the day, there will be workshops, presentations and panel discussions, an illustrators’ market, as well as an outdoor exhibition.
